Terms of Service

1. What Moonprints is

Moonprints (the “Service”) is a digital advertising and collectible experience. It shows a map of the Moon built from public NASA imagery and divides it into exactly 1,000,000 fictional virtual plots.

All lunar plots are fictional digital spaces. Purchases do not grant ownership or rights over real lunar land. Nothing on the Service is real estate, a property claim, a deed, a security or an investment.

2. What you buy

When you buy a plot you receive a non-exclusive, non-transferable (except through the Service’s gift feature) licence to display content you choose at that plot’s position on our map, under these Terms. Plot IDs and positions are permanent within the Service.

Prices are USD $1 per plot unless shown otherwise at checkout. Any service fee is shown as a separate line before you pay. There are no hidden fees.

3. Accounts

You must be at least 16 years old (or the age of digital consent where you live) to create an account. Keep your password secret; you are responsible for activity on your account.

We may suspend accounts used for fraud, abuse, chargeback fraud or repeated violations of the Content Rules.

4. Payments and reservations

Selected plots are held for you for a limited time while you pay. A plot is assigned to you only after the payment processor confirms payment to us. If a plot becomes unavailable before your payment is confirmed, we refund it automatically.

5. Your content

You keep ownership of the content you upload. You grant us a worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, display, resize and reproduce it on the Service and in shares of your plot. You confirm you own or are licensed to use every logo and image you upload. Content must follow the Content Rules and Advertising Guidelines; we may hide or remove content that does not.

6. How long placements last

Placements do not expire while the Service operates. We do not promise perpetual hosting. If we decide to close the Service, we will give at least 90 days’ notice by email and on the site, and publish a free, static, downloadable archive of the map and public plot content.

8. Liability

The Service is provided “as is”. To the extent permitted by law, our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing limits rights you have under mandatory consumer law.

9. Changes

We may update these Terms. Material changes will be announced at least 30 days in advance. Continued use after that means you accept the new Terms.

10. Real geography and credits

Lunar imagery and elevation come from NASA’s Scientific Visualization Studio, LRO LROC (NASA/GSFC/Arizona State University) and LOLA. NASA does not endorse this Service. Real feature names follow the IAU/USGS Gazetteer; the plot grid is fictional and separate from real geography. Historic landing sites are excluded from sale.
